The specifics worth knowing

Free 30-day trial, no card required. Every new organization starts on Growth for 30 days. If you add a card before the trial ends, the subscription converts automatically. If you don’t, it pauses: your data stays, but ingestion stops until you convert. The Trial page covers the three paths you can take before day 30. Feedback items are counted every time they’re processed. Not just new submissions: updates count too. Support tickets get updated as conversations evolve, Linear issues get new comments, transcripts get appended to, and each of those re-runs the analysis pipeline and adds to your counter. See Usage & overages for the full counting rules. Every plan has two caps. The included amount is what you pay for. A hard cap at twice that acts as a safety lid: even with overages enabled, ingestion stops there to protect you from runaway billing (misconfigured webhooks, accidental re-ingest loops). Contact us if you genuinely need it lifted. Overages are opt-in, off by default. With overages off, passing the included cap blocks new ingestion until the next period, so you never see a surprise bill. With overages on, ingestion keeps running up to the hard cap and the excess is billed on your next invoice. See Usage & overages for the per-plan overage pricing. Upgrades are immediate, downgrades wait. Going to a bigger plan takes effect today with a prorated invoice. Going to a smaller plan is scheduled to the end of your current billing period so you keep the coverage you already paid for. Monthly → annual follows the upgrade rule; annual → monthly follows the downgrade rule. See Plan changes for every scenario and its timing. Annual cancellations run out the paid year. Cancel an annual subscription and it keeps running, with no refund, until the paid year ends. Monthly cancels at the end of the current month. That’s the trade-off for the lower effective price on annual. See Plan changes for details.

What’s metered

Kontext bills two resources: feedback items (every processing run, new or update) and seats (active members plus any pending invitations). A third resource is a small preconfigured LLM allowance: LLM calls made against a provider that Kontext owns and pays for, so new organizations can see the analysis pipeline work before configuring their own provider. Past the allowance, analysis runs on your BYOK provider. Invoices, receipts, and payment methods live in the Manage billing portal, reachable from the billing settings page.
